A series of NewsFlash! Resource Packs complement the video game and contain activities that further support the development of research and critical thinking skills. Each pack contains introductory presentations and activities suitable for both Key Stage 2 and 3, which can be used either as stand-alone activities by parents, carers or teachers, or as a series of lessons.
The NewsFlash!Game project was used as a case study for a toolkit developed by Carnegie UK in collaboration with Libraries Connected, exploring methods for public engagement. The toolkit draws on evidence collected during the Engaging Libraries programme which ran from 2016-2021. This programme supported public libraries across the UK to develop and deliver public engagement activities.
